Wow, great surfing paradise. We didn’t have such big waves in Thailand but blue water. I wonder how you could take those pictures of surfing without making your camera wetly.

There are another way to get G-Land by boat, it’s take around two hours, if you depart from Bali and 30 minutes from Grajagan Beach.

  6. I can’t wait to go there, in Bali right now and we booked 5 days to Java next week!!! Definitely gonna stay for 3 days at G-land.

    Awesome pictures.

They get different cooks coming through and staying their for free accomodation and waves..While I’ve been to a few of the camps, jungle and bobbies had the best food i can remember in Indonesia..Must have been a bad cook while you were there or too many people to cater to, or you might have turned up late..?

Plengkung is known as one of the best surfing beaches in the world.I went there last summer and it was amazing!! This place is surrounded by virgin tropical land forest. Definitely the best place to surf!

  9. The Plengkung Restoran is a fabulous and relaxing place to enjoy all the epicurean delights Java has to offer. I spotted Ikan Asin, cured salted fish, but was told firmly that I must try the roasted chicken. I must admit it was delicious and cooked with a spice mixture that apparently is a secret.

  10. I think the word of “G” in “G-Land” derives from Grajagan, the name of the bay where the huge waves were found at the south of the Banyuwangi. I love this beach, the tides get rough, but wheres the fun without it eh?

I just want to be there this coming holiday to enjoy the waves. How do you get by from triangguladi-pancur-plengkung? By car also? Do you need special 4×4 car to get through this route or just ordinary car will do? Some remote & beautiful places in Indonesia are only reachable by 4×4

    Thanks!!
